Wow, a whole 47 minutes for the documentary!! And 73 minutes of "action leftovers, trailers...."!!

I can't wait! And for the cheap as chips price of 34.90 Euros!!

errr... yeah. Still, you can't exactly go down to Video Ezy and rent a windsurfing film can you.

Hi guys... I have ordered the DVD from the web site. Took all of 4 days to get to OZ.

There is some good footage on this DVD but it's not exactly what I would call a documentary.

Is 34.90 Euros too much? Considering that if a DVD sells for 34.90 Euro the production company ends up with about AU$10 per sold copy and they probably sell no more than 1000 copies so I would say no, it's not too expensive.

All in all this flic isn't as good as FastForward Hawaii but if you are after some windsurf action it will do the trick.

FYI, the extras on this disc are nothing to rave about.

haircut,

I am surprised to hear you didn't like FFD Hawaii. What in particular didn't you like about FFD Hawaii?

FilthyAmatuer, you can try Windsurf N Snow in Sydney. They usually have all the latest windsurfing and kite boarding DVD in the shop. Their web site is: wssboards.com.au/

i think i'm probably comparing everything against plug'n'play and feed your soul which i thought were very professional looking, even though p'n'p nicks footage from other dvds. Spam and ffwd had alot of footage taken from the beach, and personally find that a bit el-cheapo, and i get bored with it pretty quickly. I'm also getting tired of the cliche' hardcore music too. just my opinion though FFWD seemed to have better extra footage than the actual main movie. The overhyped sales pitch probably killed it a bit

Hi Haircut I've just finished watching it. Wasnt as good as the trailer suggests. Will have another look at it and check out the extras. The running time of dvd is only 47 min, but seems to be another 25min of extra features.
I'll be at caloundra on saturday so I can tell you what I thought of the rest of it.

Hopefully we will be out on the water ripping on saturday and not have time to sit around discussing windsurfing dvd's!
Although by the look of the forecast the wind could be all gone by lunchtime. hope not

You can download the whole video from www.totalvid.com

They do DRMd "rental" of windsurfing videos, you can download the videos for about $3-4(US) and then watch them as many times as you like for about a week. Then they "expire". Sounds like a good way to decide if you want to buy the DVD. (They also sell the origianl DVDs.)

I haven't tried them out yet, but they have Wild Birds along with 5 pages of other windsurfing videos. (A bit annoyed I only found it after buying K a copy for her birthday!)
