Could it be that we in NSW are going to get some wind tomorrow??
Looking at BOM you would say yes, looking at Seabreeze you would say maybe.
Can some of you guys in WA let us easterners in on why the forecasts are so different all the time????
Please let the BOM be right this time.

Sydney looks like a pretty dismal place for wind (brisbane just acceptable) but sydney- I'd probably move or take up golf.

Dont forget bald Greeny.
Forecast for NSW coastal waters is looking pretty damn good for the weekend especially sat.
Just lucky we dont get cyclones in this state.
Well see who had a good weekend on Monday boys[}:)]

So where can i get out in a SW in the Northern Beaches (sydney) with a "average windsurfer" who can't sail in waves. Sandy Point in Pittwater, Narabeen, Manly Wharf?

Any ideas gratefully recieved!

We had a nice NE'r this arvo in the Gong and every now and then a nice set would come through, 5-6ft maybe. COuld be the last one of the season :|

The forcast for Sat/Sun looks good though, hopefully the small sails will be the order of the day/s :D

I missed the SW'er down here in the Gong :( Got up and it was pumping, thought i'd watch a bit of F1. Headed down to Windang and pretty much on que as I got there the wind drops 20kts. Sat at 15kts for the rest of the arvo. Damn F1!

Looked far more consistent up at Kurnell, it was only strong down here for about 1.5-2 hours, looked like it hung in up there for much longer; like it typically does.

It delivered nicely, excellent southerly at Botany, starting with 25-30 knots then easing gradually to about 15. Lot's of fun on a 4.7m. Just need one of these every weekend.

It happened. Most on north side sailed Longy. Pretty quiet early but nice in the surf. Then when it did hit big time everyone was scrambling for small stuff. Most guys on 4.7 and small wave boards. Surf picked up super quick as it does at Long Reef. By the arvo all bommies breaking and guys sailed big Makaha. few out at big newport reef too.

Went 2 narrbeen lakes, NICe flat water blasting. Around 20knots on my 6. BIT sketch though with the sand banks, there seemed to be heaps more. Overall really good. Went 2 long-reef afterwards, not 1 windsurfer and only 1 kitesurfer who was struggling to get past the white wash.

The Lake was good especially over the far side - ideal duck gybing practice! Bit gusty though.

Looks like we've got a few more days of SW lined up!
