Windsurfing and work just don't mix. I am sitting here at my desk watching the trees moving around, its 20 to 25 knots at the beach and I am committed to staying here at work until 5pm. I hate missing a season on the water! and I know when I catch up with my windsurfing friends they will rub it in.

Or siting in the port control tower watching the white caps looking at the wind readings and watching your mates through binoculars now that is agony.

I feel your pain guys. It started last yr and is happening again this yr. I work away, week on week off. Already this yr as soon as me mates see me home they take there gear out of there cars and get ready of a week without much wind. It usually blows 1,,,maybe 2 days before i head back to work just to tease me..lol...gota luv this sport aye.........popped over to a friends house this morning ( first day home ) and he was resting from all the sailing he had been doin the prior week. Guess what,,,theres no wind till next week ,,,,grrrr.....lmao....still luv every minute i get on the water tho,,,we are lucky....

I'm sure there's been another thread about this, but the simple solution is to work for yourself. When your sms alert tells you its blowing at your fav spot (post me a cheque Lozza), down tools and go sailing. The only down side of this is the 'dont work, dont get paid' issue. So what's a decent session worth to you?
That's my take.

Cheers

Or quit work, live in a board bag, and eat dog food.

Sorry Dazza. I had the day off. 3 hours of really good fast fun Although I had to wake up the only other windsurfer around - he was seriously snoring in his car. And boy I needed that cos its always windy when I am working too.
but I bet the boys at Seacliff had it better???

Wouldn't baked beans be cheaper than catfood?

My solution is to marry a professional woman who earns six times the amount you do, then tell her your job sucks. She will feel sorry for you as she loves you and wants you to be happy.

So when you quit, you can tell her the good news and celebrate.

This gig seems to be working out quite well eh Susie! Has this got anything to do with Work Place Agreements?

See you Sunday?

Darren where did you sail yesterday afternoon? We were at seacliff at 5, then wind dropped out and went SE, was that you down somerton way?

Susie, looks like Funnel is the go tomorow, they rounded up that big grey thing in the water yet?
