Hi all,

just a quick note to let everyone know the latest version of the website has been uploaded. it includes the review of the last meet and some changes to the look. about 75% complete so far, still a few old pages lurking around.

there will be some more news announced over the coming weeks ie. more new sponsors, windsurfing queensland affiliation and in the not to distant details of the November meet. (still trying to sort through this current trend of no wind on saturdays)

the other items under way are the xmas party that will be held at Lake Cootharaba over a weekend in december, hopefully the 17th followed by a january meet at north kirra. plus an expansion of the locations pages and the inclusion of te windsurfing library.

Hi nebbian,

The hosting for the is actually provided free by myself. As such no real provision for MySQL, although it can be provided if needed. I can provide DSN and Access database support for free but no free MySQL support. Its either that or relocate the site to a proper hosting account of its own.

As it grows it maybe well worth while get an account dedicated for the site. prices are pretty cheap with uzipp.com

Using PHP/MySQL an application could be developed where users could perhaps register and then list their gear they are offering up to the library. Gear could also be flagged as available or on loan etc and perhaps also show availability dates etc etc.

Once built it wouldnt require any coding on your part Gestalt However this only applies to the library not the general web site.

Are you offering to develop something along these lines nebbian? I just double checked and the current host does provide MySQL and PHP on the current plan.
