Caloundra meet.....

The Next WindWanderers Meet is confirmed for July the 8th at Caloundra. To be either golden beach or bulcock beach depending on wind direction. the day will be sponsored by Caloundra Wind & Surf.

The day will cater for flat water blasting and waves all within the same venue.

Those wanting beginner lessons please let me know. I have organised a special windwanderers price that includes gear hire and instruction from a qualified senior ayf coach.

Hi Padi,

at this stage that's the spot. if the wind is a sou-Wester then we will prob go over to bulcock. plenty of flat stuff there in a SW.

if it is at golden then those wanting to hit the waves can easily walk across the sandbar or sail around. i'll be in the waves myself.....having an incoming tide all arvo means the bar and bulcock will be fairly forgiving. you won't get dragged out to sea....

if it is at bulcock then it is just straight out and into the surf or the flat stuff in the mouth.

Caloundra Meet

So far this saturday is looking good for Caloundra, 20 knot southerly forecast. If the wind stays southerly then the meet will be at golden beach south of the light tower next to the toilets. If it is a sou-wester then we will be at bulcock beach. I will confirm on thursday night. maps can be downloaded from the clubs location guide pages.

To try and speed up the paper work for the day i have made a link on the club "Mission" page where you can find the waiver. all you need to do is print it out and give it to me signed at the meet. i will then use the names on the waivers for the prize draws. I hope that makes things a lot easier for all involved. Any new members can also download the club sign on form at the same link.

I have also managed to organise a couple of give aways for everyone. Caloundra wind & Surf are supplying the bbq plus demo gear as well as a fin and crash pad for the lucky draw. cheers Pete.

There has been some minor tweaks to the club's website so hitting refresh when you go to each page may help these changes appear on your screens. basically better navigation tools. I will also have the photo gallery uploaded later tonight.
