The wind is forecast for 15 knots in the morning freshening to 20 knots in the arvo from the N-NW. low tide is expected at 1.20pm. i will post friday with final confirmation but at this stage we are on for wello.
The Sponsor for the Wello meet are :-Board Crazy. Simon and Julie are graciously providing the bbq and drinks for us all to enjoy on the day. They have also chipped in 2 wetshirts for the lucky draw prizes. definately a great prize in these parts with the sun we get. Simon will be down in the arvo after he closes shop so don't forget to drop by on your way through to wello and say hi to him.
Windsurfingsales. Bud and the guys at windsurfing sales have been long supporters of the WindWanderers. So on saturday they are helping out to by providing a gun boom for one lucky member.
Also planned :-as the whole speed gps thing seems very popular currently i have also organised some other items for the day.
setup advice. Michel Van der pligt will be on hand to help out with any questions regards sail rigging, board setup etc. Michel is a previous world 1hr speed record holder and an allround good guy.
Update!! Sean O'brien has also offered his services to help out with setup advice. Sean is a pro windsurfer who has extensive experience around the world and in multiple classes. he has competed against the likes of bjorn dunkerbeck and steve allen. his list of achievements at the top of the sport is very impressive.
