Don't suppose anyone has any experience with Sardinia and rental gear? I am lucky enough to have scored a trip to the North, 40km from Porto Pollo, where, I am led to believe, it goes off.
My other half is not at all pleased with the idea of carting the kit to Europe and our friends over there have a Hobie cat to play with, but...I know I will go mad if I see a good windsurfing spot and - well I am sure you know what I am talking about.
I have tracked down two places at Porto Pollo - only one repled to my e-mail and said I would need to be staying there and organising my flights through them to get a rental board. The other didn't reply - but from the look of the website expect the same arrangement.
We are flying into Munich and driving down to the Sardinia ferry and I have even enquired at a windsurfing shop there (no dice). I can't find anything about other windsurfing places in Sardinia. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks. Yeah I found those too. The two resorts aren't interested unless you are paying to stay there, plus flights as far as the first one goes! The UK site review is what is whetting my appetite - but I can't find any other places in Sardinia that rent...

The two places at Porto Pollo are pretty good but can get busy. Good bump and jump and flat water areas.

Ta guys. Yeah both places rent gear - but looks like only if you are staying with them. The last site was the one that didn't reply though - so I have just given it another go...

Actually - I have never been a big fan of the little salty suckers.

Guess what though - Freshtraxxx came up trumps. Thanks very much for all the suggestions. I got two very nice e-mails and a guarantee of some gear to use. Evidently one of the Freshtraxxx guys, based at Sardinia is a chap called Jason from Perth. Can't beat the Perth connections.
