The Windsurfer One Design has kicked off again in SA. There's a small group now sailing at Westlakes and at Port River Sailing Club. We now have the national champion in North Queensland, four fleets (and more forming hopefully) in NSW, one fleet and a kid's group in Victoria, the SA fleet and the Tasmanian fleet so that's a pretty good national spread.

We're all just into simple, no hassle, no BS fun whether it's 2 knots or 20, with the challenge of great racing or freestyle. Oh, and the kids version (Junior One) is a great way to get the grommets involves.

So if anyone in SA is interested either in putting that Wally under their house to a good use or getting rid of it, drop me a line at

By the way, the NSW titles are on 2nd and 3rd February.

What luck!
I knew if I hung onto my old One Design long enough the market would swing.

What's it worth now then? $1000 ? $5000 ? $10,000 ??? More?????

Sorry; $1690 new but $200-$400 second-hand. There's a guy in Esperance looking for some for a kid's programme he's running......or you could freight it to SA.

In a way I wouldn't mind driving the second hand price up as it may get some more out of storage, and make the move to a new one easier.
