Dunno 'bout everyone else, but during the ice age here in Canberra there's not much sailing to be done. So winter is the hot rod season for me.
Comin to the start of the season I've noticed that this community (windsurfing) is sooooooo much more friendly than car communities. I find car forums have a splendid number of egos and nastiness, with the odd good bloke in there.

Having spent a bit of time around cars I have to agree. It takes little skill to own a fast car, only money. Many of them can't drive anyway either through age or lack of co-ordination. Many think that their car has some hidden secret, which it doesn't. The only place there is secrets now is in IPRA racing and restricted classes of drag racing.

As a whole windsurfers are alot better to deal with.

True. And there aren’t as many beer guts in windsurfing.

yeh, but most of my windsurf buddies are twice my age. Where are all the young bloods?
