Ever noticed that you can't just walk into any old newsagent and expect to get a windmag? More like you can walk into any old newsagent and expect not to get a windmag!

Well now that's not a problem.

Found this site called "zinio" where you can download magazines to your computer, install their free reader (which is very good any includes a few nice touches such as pages actually looking like they're turning, remembers which page you were on next time you open it etc) and start to build your virtual library. There's no time limits and you can get back issues for the same price as the current one (without having to pay for postage!)

here's some windsurfing mag search results (the site has all sorts of other magazines too - probably even jazz mags, WINDY MILLER)
www.zinio.com/search?q=windsurfing+boards&d=mt
Ignore the 6 or 10 issues prices on that link cos if you drill down into the mag you like, you can get single mags at pretty competitive prices - certainly much cheaper than the bookstore.

I have been getting Windsurf from the UK for the past couple of months. I went for a 12-month sub so I don't forget. I have found it really good.

I was notified that my next issue had arrived just after I broke my ankle, just to rub salt into the wound so to speak. Oh well, at least I will have something to read and dream about.

I just logged on to start a forum about this and there is already one here. So I`m not the only one who can't find any windsurfing magazines in any of the newsagents, even the really big ones. It is VERY frustrating!! Does anyone know why they have become unavailable? I don`t want to download magazines onto my computer. It's good to have a hard copy.

I like Boards magazine better.

Just my personal preference, I suppose.

Shane, I guess there's just not the readership density for the newsagents to stock them.

Most of the other mags we get in newsagents seem to be Australian and since most of the windsurfing mags are from US or UK it's probably just too difficult and too expensive.

Maybe you could talk to your local newsagent and see if they can bring your favourite mag in for you each month?
