Seems like the yanks will try anything, this is the start of a rec.windsurfing thread. --
I have a pet alligator named George and I want to use him for surfing,
because he can protect me against sharks.

Is this possible and how can I attach the sail to my alligator?

That question is discussed on the thread, but not in great detail.
The overiding opinion seems to be in the negative.

Is that a salty or a frsh water crocodile?

Wouldn'tthe rocker be variable?

Would you annoy it attaching the foot straps?

At least it would have some propulsion in no wind.

An excellent idea it is to ride an alligator. If someone was to drop in for instance, you could sik him on to them.

I think decrepit has been hanging around me too long

The obvious dangers in using a crocodile or alligator make the idea a silly one, not to mention upsetting the animal rights activists.

The obvious solution to this is to develop strong attachment relationships with the local sharks in your area. The key to ending violence in society and in the water is for people of different races, and different species to connect with each, if we have strong connections and relationships, then we won't want to kill or eat each other.

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING IS THE ANSWER

UNTIL WE GET THIS THEIR IS NO END TO VIOLENCE IN SOCIETY AND IN THE WATER

I don't think the problem is the development of strong attachments in this area... it's the breaking of these strong attachments! I'm sure some great whites and crocodiles have strong attachments to humans... too strong.

Formula, If we don't ever learn to relate to these animals how can we ever expect acceptance, the way you talk about them it's as if you see them as some sort of prehistoric monsters!!!!
