Well,

Wot Rocket is at it again...trying for a speed record on Botany

here's a photo from todays Sydney Morn Herald

that's the control pod on the right - they got out alright

At least when we stack we can (hopefully) let go of the kit.

Must have been a wild ride, respect to them.

Yeah, respect to them for the effort. But the thing that rocks my soul about our sport is that after a wipe-out at 45kts + Finian, or SlowBoat, or any of the other granite testicle crew will probably just unclog their sinuses of salt water, schlog up to the starting line again and have another crack. Maybe rig up another Koncept if they've put their head through a panel. None of this "back to the warehouse to put in the phone order for another plane load of carbon fibre" and six months fixing the damage. Ya gotta love the elegant simplicity of it.

Great to see them have a go!

When you see a moth come off the foils they tend to do a nose dive thingy - I wonder if it was the same sort of thing that caused the catapult?
