Settle pettel? and mind your language

An American windsurfer decided to write a book about famous windsurfing locations around the world.
So he bought a plane ticket and took a trip to Florida, thinking that he would start by working his way across the USA from South to North.
On his first day he was inside a windsurfing shop asking for local knowledge when he noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read

'$10,000 per call'.

The American, being intrigued, asked the proprietor what the telephone was used for.
The proprietor replied that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 you could talk to God and ask for wind.
The American thanked the proprietor and went along his way.
Next stop was California. There, at a very large windsurfing shop, he saw the same looking golden telephone with the same sign under it.
He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in Florida and he asked a sales assistant what its purpose was.
She told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 he could talk to God and ask for wind.
'O.K., thank you,' said the American .
He then travelled all across America , Europe, England , Japan , even New Zealand...
In every major windsurfing shop he saw the same looking golden telephone with the same '$US10,000 per call' sign under it.
The American decided to travel to Australia to see if the Aussies had the same phone.
He arrived in Perth and again, in the first windsurfing shop he entered, there was the same looking golden telephone,
But this time the sign under it read '40 cents per call.'
The American was surprised so he asked the proprietor about the sign. " I've travelled all over the world and I've seen this same golden telephone in many windsurfing shops. I'm told that it is a direct line to Heaven, but in all of them the price was $10,000 per call.
Why is it so cheap here?' The proprietor smiled and answered, 'You're in Perth now, mate - it's a local call'.

Hey I am 18...I know, Actually I was thinking of moving down your way if I decide to go to uni next year...could be a bit of fun!!
Might have to get into the wave side of things!

Only problem is I'd be surround by West Aussies...you're all too good for me...make me look crap

Well, what about a tiny state called victoria? I have been windsurfing all week on a 5.4 and me brother a 5.2 wave sail. I think vic is GODS country as well. Tell me if ya state could beat this wind speed then. Last night we were sailing in 15-20 knots sw at Inverloch when we got hit in about 10 seconds by a 40 knot blast. Every windsurfer got flatend on the water. One windsurfer had to wait for the wind to go down a bit just so he could just sail back to shore. he was stuck on a sand bar for a while. We were all happy to just make it back to the beach. It was dark so we called it a day just another day at inverloch. 3 windsurfers, 15-20 knots and the whole inlet to our self's does not get any better than that.

And it was a windy 25 knots sw again today but did not get to sail.

You have been gone a while.
I was hoping the fires hadn't gotten you.
Sounds like you've just been having too much fun sailing to be bothered posting.
