I've got a JP Free Style Wave 93 (06) and really love it.

I'm not a really hardcore wave rider, but probably have more chance of using the board in small to medium size waves, than I ever do of being a serious freestyler (bugger, now I have that song stuck in my head).

With that rubbish out of the way, does anyone have any recommendations on third party wave fins (powerbox) that would suit this combo.

I have an 07 FSW 109 litre, I just use the stocko fin, seems fine for my level.

A few better wave riders have sailed my board with no complaints.

Until my ability lifts Ill just stick with the stock fin.

Cool song. Does't seem to get much air-play on the east coast though. Could you give us a couple more verses

I was going to buy the 93 JP FSW but opted for the RRD 95 FSW which apparently is very similar to the JP. I use it as a light wind wave board and freestyle board in 18 to 23.

I use the JP 23 Weed fin at Safety Bay or the fin that came with the board 27 in the waves.

I didn't like the 23 at first but found moving the mast track towards the front of the board helped.

I use a JP 33 weedy at Safety Bay and the stocky (I think) 27 elsewhere, they have been fine, but I see a lot of posts saying "whatever you do, get a better fin", so I thought I would ask what other users are using.

I guess most of the people who would be changing fins would be using the Real World Wave where the fin selection is more critical.

Grumps, although there have been a lot of posts talking about how bad the JP fins are, there also seems to be a bit of a consensus that they have improved a lot from 2006 onwards.

Try a MFC On Shore Wave Fin.

I use a 8.75 on the JP FSW 85 and it works great.

I use the MFC (Maui Fin Company) On Shore Wave on a JP FSW 85 as well. Works Great!
