g'day, i have just bought a bic windsurfer and have just started windsurfing, there is a plastic fitting which plugs into a sliding mast track then you push a metal pin which is meant to lock it in place.
it doesnt...
just wondering if anyone can tell me how to fix it or where to get a replacement

i think it was a common system on the older boards. I had the same trouble with an older Klepper (them's were the days) and mistral competition. I fixed it by pulling out the metal pin and rebending it to make it tighter. The plastic sliding bit on those boards also had a threaded hole that you could screw a deckplate into (but you then couldn't adjust the mastfoot position whilst sailing) so have a look to see you if have the same thing.
