hi guys
i live on the north coast of tassie and they told us to batten down the hatches for tomorrow morning they are forecasting up to 150 kilometre an hour winds thats around 80 knots abating around lunch time to 40 knots dont think i will be on the water early

When we were young we used to use towels like sails on our skateboards in 40 knots, stand on one end of the towel, hold the other. I reckon 80kts would be great for it, give it a go aus005.

don't forget these forecasts are exagerated a bit - i don't think there'll be any flying cows, well, maybe small ones, and lots of sheep.

You probably will get it..... first time I've seen a forecast 30-40kn and we ACTUALLY got it. .... not just peak, solid for about 5 hrs
