If anybody has used those inflatable board stabilizers I'd like to hear from him/her. I know I may incur anathema from those advanced sailors striving for speed and adrenaline, but I am not one of those, simply because my sense of balance is not very good, to say the least, even after years of windsurfing. Most of the time, winds are very light or the chop throws me off. Not the ideal conditions . I do have to make a compromise :if the price is some drag and low speed, so be it. Better than packing up and going home! A low bar, indeed, but I have no alternatives. Do these stabilizers really do what they claim?

I actually did! I had them around for a wind-sup and one day I attached them to one of my windsurfs and took off. Idea was: "maybe when the wind drops I can just add the stabilizers instead of changing board". Unfortunately the only thing I achieved were some nice fountains of water sprouting out between hull and stabilizers 🤔
The water pressure is high the second you gain some speed, it might work in displacement, if the purpose is just to add stability for a beginner. But I still wonder why a practical system to change the volume of a board was never developed. Not anything requiring bolting on/off parts, as it has been attempted. Would be great to have morph hull that can be made larger or narrower using just a pump ...
