Guys, Im off to Morrisset for a family reunion on Fri, Sat and Sun.
Its been awhile since I sailed up there so anyone got some info about spots and what works in what wind.
Sail Munmorah occasionally but with what SB is predicting for Fri and Sat does anywhere work in N direction??
Comrade Kremlin or Peto got any tips?
Cheers

Comrade 43
I think the reef inspector (peto) or Mr Mauritius aka MA will be best placed to outline the options for northerlies near where you will be

I'm a little further up the coast and while there are some great places to sail around the Bay area in a northerly (well actually in just about any wind direction) it will be a pretty big drive for you from Morriset... especially if theree is something closer that will bee working.

Thats said i will consult thhe orical and get back to you

Kremlin

PS How good is the prediction for this arvo looking... Birubi was firing at 4 to 6 foot yesterday... swell has dropped a little but with a nor easter it will be INSANE down the line this arvo !

Shingle splitters point on Lake Macquarie is approx 4km from Morisset. It faces north so the only direction u cant sail is wind from the south. It has a nice grassed picnic area for rigging up on.
May seeya down there this weekend.

Gidday Donk.
Funnily enough the house we stayed in was right on Fig Tree Pt.
Nice spot, tied to get out on Friday but not enough wind.
Due to limited space I only took a free ride board and 6.2 wave sail.
Your right, it was blowin' its tits off. there were gusts ripping the tops of waves in sheets. Obviously didnt bother and noone else around. Looked very rocky with oysters.
Mates down here were getting dusted on 4.7 down to 4.0.
Will keep in mind for future occasions.
