This thusday and friday it is going to be strong nnwesters and the only place i can think of to sail is a small wave spot near point perron called crystals it is pretty good for jumping so if u are learning to forward it would be a good spot to learn. The only thing is if u break something u end up on the corway to go to garden island.

so who is coming?

Possibly the person who red thumbed you, because he wants it to himself.

I was thinking of giving the other side of the causeway a blast NW looks like a great direction to turn it into a 4km long speed run, just have to see how far out from the rocks you have to be before the wind truly settles on the water

Worth a try, but I think you may have to get too far away from it, and it'll be choppy.

OHHHH NO, THE SECRET IS OUT!!!! The red thumb crew have had thier spot disclosed to the general public!!!!
"Safety Bay", crystals beach is shot!!! Had a couple of looks today and with the storm surge - no beach exists, you will be launching into a storm water drain from the road that used to be 50m from the waters edge. Crystals has been silting up for years but maybe given the right swell direction it may crank. Give it a go but there are way many better spots to launch from within a couple of k that are less swell direction driven.
"BundyBear", nice plan but the causeway is too high and by the time the wind becomes laminar after crossing it you may as well be sailing at crazy waves. Sorry, but have tried it before.

To all the trolls, was meant to fly out of the country today for 5 days, but trip was cancelled at the last minute. If the wind dies you can blame me ( I'll be the one wearing the rain jacket over the wetsuit tomorrow)
