I am pretty new to the sport and currently have a starboard start...its about 100cm wide....what would happen if i put 70cm fin on it..

I think a fin that size would work . The go is a wide big board it needs a fin that big to get it planing. I use to have one with a 50cm fin it serve its purpose ! Happy sailing.'jh

You will have to walk half way to New Zealand before you can hop on

I use a 66cm in the same board with a 7.8 race sail. Goes well.

Add an 8m sail, and you'll be doing 20 knots in 15 knots winds.
That's what I do....and it will feel like steering a tanker
