I tried to do the same thing last summer and had trouble finding the right stuff. I got the right material but 10 mm was the thinnest I could get, which was too thick. I tried thinning it down on a thicknesser but it just got munched. I used some at 10mm thick and routed it but it doesnt cut too well unless your cutters are razor sharp and you go realy slow. got a good looking product in the end but it was heaps of hassle and too thick, went to squid and bought a sheet already glued and routed ,too easy. Let me know if you find some and work out how to do it easily.

A couple of years ago I bought some sailboard deck grip from Dave Smith at Katana, U8/15 Carbon Ct, Osbourne Park 9244 1691. He had a few types and didn't charge much for it.

That must be you Mike. Ask Dave at Katana if he'll sell you a sheet of the grip that I use on my boards.
