gear STOLEN by a complete muppet

Hi All,

Some crack monkey HAS STOLEN MY KIT! It happened sometime last week(Feb 17th), stolen from a secure garage in st. kilda, Melbourne.

Note my board is a 2007 JP freestyle 91 Pro - very rare and has 'Barbara' writen in marker near the back footstrap. All gear is in excellent condition.

STOLEN

x1 2007 JP FREESTYLE 91 PRO EDITION BOARD (Yellow/white) (Barbra on base in texta)
x1 2007 JP MEDIUM SIZE BAG (silver)
x1 CROSSRIDE FIN 32CM (yellow in board)
x1 2004 FIBRESPAR CARBON BOOM 160-208 (black)
X1 2007 NORTH SAILS GOLD EDITION RDM 400 MAST (white - in silver padded bag)
X1 2004 EZZY SAILS HOOKIPA RDM 430 CARBON 90 MAST (black in silver bag)
x1 2006 NORTH SAILS DUKE 6.2Mtr SAIL (blue/white/silver in grey bag)

If anyone comes across this gear - please give me a hoi on 040 999 999 6
And if I come across them they better look out.

Hey Timo.

Go around to all your local surf shops and give them a list of your gear to see if someone tryies to sell it. sorry to hear about the gear hope you find the gear!!

If you have the serial numbers of the gear taken, i've herd that quite often the people who steal windsurfing gear, don't actually windsurf, and they have come up on the market either privately or through shops a while after.

I would keep your eye out everywhere.

Had my gear stolen about 15 years ago and got it back through the Trading Post 3 months latter.Keep an eye on that and Ebay to see what pops up. Local Cash converters as move a lot of sail gear.Try Williams Town,s one first.Hope this helps

Commiserations Timo.
I had my board nicked this arvo while I was waiting for the wind to pick up.
My girlfriend saw three guys putting it into their car but didn't realise it was mine!!!
Geez I'd have loved to catch them at it...can you remove a weedfin from a Mupppet with a Proctoscope??!!??

I was down at Warnbro Sound in Port Kennedy on the beach near where I live at the end of Cote d' Azure(bloody French street names)

That sucks.

I had my locks done at crystals a while back. These guys must be regular windsurfer equipment stealers.

The only way we can combat this is for everyone to always be suspicious when buying 'cheap windsurfing' equipment.
Because the kit invariably belong to some poor soul like Windy

I'm gonna etch all my kit.

a email is being circulated around all windsurf tas members with a list of what was missing and a description so we will all keep an eye out down here.

you gotta wonder at some of the item descriptions you see listed on e-bay. it's bloomin obvious some people selling windsurfing stuff have never windsurfed in their lives.
