Can I get some advice please,I'm 90kg ive surfed and wake boarded for years and done a bit of kiteboarding,what size sails and board will get me started and what winds are best to learn in .the board I'm going to learn on is probably a bit small but was cheap

150L - 180L board with a centrboard (the middle keel / giant fin) and about 5m sail, in 6-8kn

Roughly.

What do you have?

Thanks for the reply,I'm guessing 120ish L and 4.7sail I'm probably going to pick a 6.0m rig the board has a wide tail but I haven't even stood on it yet I'm going to try it on light winds soon and build up to stronger conditions the fin is 12inch single probably not ideal but it was cheap .the kids can learn on it to,there is also a gastra 295 that I would like to move onto what do you recon

120L could be do-able if you are very committed.
What is written on the board?

Gave it a crack today ,will try to upload photo of gear tommorow .boyancey not bad I can stand up on it without to much problems 8-10kn side onshore obviously wsw,at soalwater in front of penguin island but as a natural footer I could only go out not in,if I tried to turn around and come in goofy stance ,it just rotated and wanted to keep going out ,harder than it looks haha.up hauling the sail was the only way I could get going cheers for the feed back.
