and if you can't do that, sheet out and head downwind.

Agree - I do all, sheet out, point downwind and pull the board under your butt - usually in that order. Works for me

The quickest way is to take your foot of the excellerator and steer the car back into a straight line. Don't brake as this will make you spin out more.

If you are spinning out due to drugs, don't take them anymore - drugs are bad OK.

If you are spinning out on your sailboard than listen to the other guys posts. Try to do a little chop hop and bring the board back under you.

yep, all that, and if possible a little chop hop can also help. Sounds crazy, putting all the fin in the air to get rid of a bit of air on one side, but it does work, if you land with back foot pulled in.

Hey demons,

Agree with Gestalt and Decrepit, the trick is to get your weight over the back of the board and 'down' - I try to sink the tail of the board and do the "ape hanger" off the boom. This involves violently dragging your back foot back towards you (kick backwards) and then dropping your weight down low -"sink into the harness".

(needless to say your footstraps need to fit snugly to avoid the foot pulling out altogether).

You really need to depower and sink and then lift the board again.

Trouble is this can cause serious strain on the hamstring muscle if you are at all susceptible in this region.

A good firm stamp just behind the mastfoot does the job if you can manage it.
