Again I have been devestated.

Yesterday the green arrows showed a promise of wind above 20knts on Sunday!!! Woohoo!!! I even scaled back my big night out on Saturday so that I could committ to a days sailing on Sunday.

......Not even 24 hours later the arrows have dropped below the level required to blow the froth off a cup of coffee. Why do you mock us oh great huey wind god???

In fact, as I was looking at my deciduous trees this morning in the garden me thinks "... trees still covered in leaves, wonder why??". Yeah I know why, we havent even had enough wind to blow last summers leaves off the trees yet.

My theory from what I have seen on this forum is that you guys in the eastern states are stealing all our wind. It looks as though you guys have been doing well this season. And I always thought the west was where all the wind was. Lies, lies I tell you.

Mr thouse,

Your mistake is simple. You openly agreed to scale back your saturday night, and the wind gods are implying that you are soft and punishing you.

We in the East are enjoying strong winds because we all have severe drinking problems, and are doing nothing to curb it.

We're in for mega winds and swell on Sunday because a bunch of windsurfing vans went through a drive thru bottle-o in one big convoy during the week.

Apologise to Huey, smash it up tomorrow night, and it'll blow Sunday.

well in the west we had only a couple good weeks of sailing which were only good for 5.8+ so even thats not a lot of wind.
i guess we will just have to wait for the enormous low pressure systems that haunts our coast during the winter. but hey take up land windsurfing need about 10+ knots and its cranking on a 5.3m sail its a lot warmer and dryer. or we could take up Knitting HAHAHA (p.s. for those that knit i am not saying knitting is inferior to any extreme sport, that uses wind in order to propel yourself forward. i will withhold that comment if it offends anyone)

There in lies my problem qwerty. Not only did I buy a new board about five weeks ago, I obviously havent been drinking enough. Mind you, going on previous experiences the lack of wind has been my reason to drink too excess.

Maybe this combination can take on the generational step in our sport. Skull a pint, hop on board and round some markers, back again, knock back some shooters, and out pull off a forward frosbie flop (also know as cheese roll while trying to hold down the cheese roll you had for lunch), then last leg can include a half yard of beer and the winner gets the bottle of champagne.
