ive never really bothered to learn how to gybe because i just like going fast, but i realised yesterday i can go fast for longer if i dont have to throw it over and swim it round ahaha.
im near cronulla, but i most sail out of georges river and kyeemagh.
but one day ill give it a go in the waves.

My two bits - I sailed a lot those areas long time ago (when I was too short of time to drive to Wanda or elsewhere). In the summer you want to get out to Sanderingham or Dolls Pt and catch the NEsters full on. Right where McMorelands used to be.

Winter's gonna be **ty there, get out to Kurnell, at least.

About gybing: you just have a good time mate. This is not a black-white thing, it's something you work at and improve your entire life. We're all the same in different degrees, that's all.

However, should you insist that it's important, then learn by keeping the reaches short and do it often, and on both sides. Don't go for an hour and then forcibly gybe, just keep plugging at it. Transitions are fun anyways.

Whats it like on a skiff, I've been windsurfing and sailing on a yacht. Is the skiffing kind of like a combo between the two? A few years ago the 18 footers were hot with betting and on the TV. Is it still like that?
