Ouch... Which break were you sailing? How bad is the ankle? And the biggest question... was it worth it?

Hi Troppo,

Sorry to hear about your ankle. This raises a question I wanted to ask generally though. How much of your foot can you see on the other side of the strap when you sail? The reason I ask is I barely see more than my toes. The reason is I knew a guy in Perth more than 10 years ago who broke his leg so badly from crashing while caught in a strap (on flat water) that his leg was the worst break the "abmo" had ever seen. I also saw a photo of a pro in a magazine and thought he had a scary amount of foot through the stap.

I was under the impression that you should have your foot a fair way in straps but that straps shouldnt be too tight to allow easy removal.
Does anyone know the 'correct' placement?

i dunno because i dont look at my feet when i'm sailing , but judging by the blister on the top i'd say about half.
