I am looking at Digital SLRs right now - I have about $1200.00 to spend on one - as long as I don't break anymore stuff in the short term.
Anyone know of any good deals or suggest a camera they have used for windsurfing action shots. I have a normal 6 MP digital camera but its useless because of the delay time in capturing the picture - hence why I am saving for a digital SLR.
get your self a conon 400d there uder 1k now and the best thing about canon digital slr are any af lens will fit so you can pick up some good second hand film lenses and because of cmos sensor is small than the old 35 film you focal length will increase so a 100 to 200 lens will come close to a 300 to 500 i love mine regards bazz
Just read your profile Bazz - I love Shellys Point when it works. Beautifull part of the world - Binalong Bay is without a doubt the most beautiful beach I have ever been on. (I grew up in the Whitsundays)

Well actually as November gets closer it would be cool to score at least a day on the east coast if the conditions are good. Do you reckon you would be able take some photos of the Nomadic event? We usually have a video camera that we just swap amoungst guys but as yet no good photos. We did get a guy to photograph once but he had no idea about wavesailing so we got pleanty of people just planning on the water and no real wave action.
If we do end up having it here around Marrawah (and it probably will be at Back of Light House) - if you want to travel here I will pay your fuel bill. The camping is free near Greens if you have a tent.
