We have demo syncros in the 104 and 91 ltr sizes if your interested in having a go. I have ridden both and they are more manueverable than last years so I would say you could tackle a few small waves on the big ones while the 91 is a great light wind wave board as it turns so smoothly and very easy to bury a rail to crank a tight turn. They both plane very early and the 104 is a great cottesloe board sliding through chop. Contact me if you would like a ride on one. 9317 2916 2ndwind sailboards
Simon @ Go Windsurfing had 2004 Synchro in 104 and 116 for hire and up for sale ($1200) a few weeks ago. The 2005 models however looks very different, with less rocker and more V, so I would take up Paul's generous offer if you seek a new board.
I've had a Syncro 91 and Fanatic FW 86 in the car for a week now waiting for the wind to co operate. A mate of mine had three hours on the Syncro 91 using a 4.5m in 25-35knots B&J. He thought it was great, good control, loose and planed up well in the lulls. He just went out and bought one. He also has last year's Syncro 115.
I rode the 104 2005 syncro again on monday with a 5.5m and the wind was gusting from grovelling to full power. This board is so smooth to turn that you don't have to put any effort into you jybes yet you get the best carve. As soon as the wind hits your sail the board wants to plane and then seems to accelerate straight away. Last years board seemed to float over the chop creating a smooth ride but was alittle sticky, while this years is more exciting at speed and easier to footsteer from rail to rail. It is also a very easy board to jump (trying to get ris of weed) from flat water.
If you are looking for a fast, easy turning board that is well behaved but not boring to ride and won't catch rails in chop then come and try our demo board.

Lulls Sureley in 25Knts gusting to 35 a 4.5 is gonna get you going.
It was a typical east coast westerly, so on and off and full of holes. You get a lull between 0 to 15 knots and then it comes in a like a bullit at 25-35.
