360 was good, I reckon if you kept the rig tilted to the back of the board for another second you would have got around.

I think on the forward you need to move your back hand down the boom and extend your front arm more to get the rotation happening.

ps. You suck for having that flat water to play on, nothing like that in Mackay

u r closer than u think. your front hand is well back which is great, you just needed to keep pulling hard with back hand and keep pulling feet up hard to your bum, (and as squid said, put back hand a little further back) but the rest looked good

its a pretty big ask to get around to a waterstarting position on almost dead flat water during early attempts. if u do a kind of backspin and just end up under the sail you are doing well. you'll find you'll get more and more aggressive with them and get around further and further

As haircut said the biggest tip is reach back....waaaay back on the boom. In that video you look overpowered, once you sheet in a bit and the sail powers up you don't have the leverage to keep it sheeted in hard. Reach as far back as you can with your back hand and sheet in with all your might.

Another thing to overcome with the forward is the 'anti catapult reflex'. When we learn to windsurf our muscles 'learn' to sheet out when a catapult is iminent and it becomes reflex, it looks like this happens to some extent in your vid. One way to counter this when you're learning is to look back at the clew of your sail when you sheet in. As you are not looking forward you don't have a reference and the reflex does not come into play as much. Looking back also helps your body position a bit RE sheeting in.

Good luck, you'll get them in no time.

not sure how others are after learning forwards, but for me catapults are still just as scary as they ever were

Re the downwind carving 360 - you need to put your front foot in front of the mast base as the board almost points upwind and attempt to steer the board with your feet as you backwind the sail to finish of the move.

Check out www.guycribb.com website - there's a "how to" guide on this and many other windsurfing tricks.

Cheers!
