This sail was given to me by the Sultan, its the original sail that was in the movie Windrider. Dave Sheen is the rider played by PC Simpson in the movie.Stoked to have this piece of windsurfing history .if you look closely you can still see the palm and knee indentations in the sail made by Nicole Kidman ;)

Nice board you have it on there too. Who shaped that one? we have a couple of the old Mambo/Merimbula sailboards floating around too.

This is the original z boom that came with the sail courtesy of the Sultan. You can see this exact boom on the rig in the movie and in the stills.Years ago I had know problem tying these boom but I am buggerd if I can do it now. A forgotten art.

This is as close as I have to a strata skeg at the moment. This one is a Football Fence skeg from 85.

The board was shaped by Hugh Bowden for Rohan Cudmore for one of the early eighties Merimbula classics. After a little research it was amazing to see some of the names of sailors who attended this event in the past. The posters for this event are amazing and would love to have a complete set hanging on my walls.I have only ever seen one come up for sale on eBay and unfortunately missed it :(.Wetspot can you show us a couple of shots of your Merimbula boards ?

I suspect the board in the film is a Santosha shaped by the late Greg Laurenson.
