there was thread once regarding stupid mishaps. well today was one of those..my wifey's bday so we decided on a picnic at the beach..i headed there early cuz windguru says so..i rigged and only did 4 gybes and obliterated the main panel but got home in full planing speed..decided to rig a bigger one(no choice) and whilst rigging..why am i missing 5cm on the downhaul so i put my finger on the top mast opening if the luff sleeve stopper has set properly on the mast tip and nope so with a little nudge it suddenly sprung and jammed my finger..so with no one in site i shouted till 2 guys who didn't know how a sail is rigged frantically tried to dismantle with every mm in any direction moved it hurt like hell but finally it worked..i still sailed with 4fingers i thought my friend who jammed his thumb on the harness hook and had to hacksaw it was dumb but am there with him

Now Johno, that's funny, I know it probably hurt like sh1t But imagining you stuck up one end of the mast and the downhaul 4-5 odd meters away and cant reach it....... F.... Funny as
Just glad it wasn't me, then again being a meck-a-neck I wouldna dunit like that self preservation would have kicked in

not sure if this is relevent but....made me go OUCH
Last saturday night i cooked a roast after cooking it for over an hour on 270 degrees i decided to rotate my food.
I proceeded to take my cooking topside roast (with all the business) out of the oven closing the oven door and placing the tray on sink skirting
I was rotating the vegies when all of a sudden a rather large peice of pumpkin managed to escape the clutches of my VB barbie tool mate
this peice of fugative pumkin then landed on my foot right between my toes in which it took shape as it burnt ;-(
next time i cook i will be wearing steal capped boot or using tongs insted of barbie tools

whats worse is all the guys at work call me pumpkin now

Hey Busta, you need a girlfriend if your cooking skills are that bad

My cooking attempts were soooo bad while I was dating my then wife to be, that I now haven't needed to cook pumpkin for over 15 years and my feet are now thanking me.
