There are a few options,
crazy waves South Freo (haven't sailed it, but reports say it's fun)
Point Peron is also good as long as there's no south in it, needs to be a bit of north in it really.
End of Port Kennedy is down the line wave sailing if the swell is big enough, also haven't sailed here.

hi marcus, velcome to perth,,,,, west and east aren't good wind directions 4 perth..

there is a web page somewhere with all the spots in perth to go, i think it might be on windsurfingwa page.....

get yourself a ubd street directory

for westerlys try:

pinaroo point - ubd 185 d11
flat water sailing, if there is a gigantic swell u can score waves off the little reefs and the harbour wall to the south.

leighton beach from the freeo slsc ubd 305 n15
wavey onshore slop, you'll need to be able to punch through the shorebreak. could be frustrating or funtastico!

crazies ubd 345 p15

you'll see the waves crashing into each other causing craziness on a waist to head hich sandbar that stretches out about 1km out to see. park and launch from south beach car park ref q4... don't use the car park near catherine pt groin its meant to be dodgy. one of the best spots, needs a big swell to work well and is also good on a nw through to sw

woodmans point 365 m13

sail either side of the point, kiters usualy use the south side. only sailed it a couple of times, each time was nuclear overpowered conditions ...

River pt majestic 307 q11, launch near jetty and sail over to pelican point and back... watch out your board will turn brown

theres more south, but never tried them... anyway shouldn't be that many westerlys left, seabreazzzzers start kickin in soon which means u sail anywhere on the coast

Scored a boat for sessions out to the ****** Miller
It has a deck big enough for rigging on and the wave breaks better than the main break
Email me for the full details yeah

Contrary to WM's advice, don't go to Leighton on a W - directly onshore. Needs some S in it to be any good.

Just Greenroom hi-jacking your thread....

****** is the name of a place that he obviously wants everybody to know about,

miller is short for WINDY MILLER.

Check the UBD references and you'll see that WM has told you about spots from South of Fremantle to Ocean Reef.

hey racy, i checked leighton's from the surf club the other day after a sesh at CW. there were 3 out, it did have a tad of Sth in it though. but the s.l.s.c sticks out a bit, gives you a an advantage over the slop, and there were some ok waves coming through, get a floaty board like your evo and you'd make it out, if it does go tits up you're only going to get washed up on the sand unless you head down to cables for some action....[}:)].......i think you can also get away with it on mulaloo beach, just got to pick yer launch spot.

Any element of S and Leightons is fine.

I had an ok sesh there once in a W but it was a bit hectic getting out/getting creamed in the lulls. It was a stupid day 15-40knots. I ended up putting my harness hook through my 4.5m
