Thats strange. I don't see why someone would want to do that. Whats to come from it, it's not like it's going to go very well lol.

another thing with it, all the power is right up the top. so imagin how hard it would be to hold it up, in my opinion, its a pile of S&*t

A typical 'inventor', all I see is a guy struggling with his own intelligence, while the others in the pics are having a blast.

If the pics showed him planing/gybing I'd be a little more interested...

It looks like a variation of the fan-sail that appeared (fleetingly) many years ago.
The 'advantage' of a fan-sail was that you didn't need to flip your rig during a flare-gybe....
You still need to switch feet, but your hands never leave the boom.

Frightening, it brings a new dimension to the term "bat winging" - essentially running dead down wind with your sails sheeted out to the max.

I would hate to have been his son when he pulled that contraption out in front of all your sailing mates.
