Is there anyone out there with a mistral prodigy with delamination occuring on top deck.Mine is not yet 4 years old and has large patches of delamination from leaks in footstrap inserts.Would this be worth attemting to repair?

Had same problem with a JP 2003 board after 2 seasons of sailing had it repaired cost me $250, another 12 months after that it went soft again, now I have a Mistral so far so good. my advice for what its worth is to repair and sell it. Like me u got a lemon from the Cobra factory which make most of the brands we buy.

lately i was told that the latest mistral boards are shoddy..but in my opinion other than being made at cobra is that they're one of the toughest constructed boards i ever had...the mistral energy and what i have left the mistral flow...what i've noticed with the latter if it wasn't carbon fibered on top the other version i have seen has big time delam...

The prodigy is a tuff skin i think, i could just be the skin deleminating from the core, the core is sealed so it shouldn't take on to much water. delemination of boards is caused by water being in there and heating from being in the sun or left in the car or on the roof when it's hot. just drill a little hole in the bubble, get some epoxy in there and clamp it down or put something heavy on it until the epoxy sets, it's a quick fix and you might get another season out of it. i would be more worried about it getting heavier if the inserts are leaking..
I opened up an old mistral the other day, one of the first carbon boards, early 90's, had tuff skin, what i found was nothing like carbon, more like chop mat used to make boats, found the same in a F2 ride from with tuff skin.. now that was dodgy..
