i was just wondering if it is possible to get booked for speeding under the 6 knots no wash rule while windsurfing?, i have a good little strip flat water un protected and all but half way down it turn into a 6 knt zone. what are your thoughts?
I was told recently, at least in NSW, a sailboat can be booked for speeding in a 4 knot zone but not in a no wash zone but that you would have to be making an arse of your self for it to happen.
i have only heard of 1 sailing boat being booked, but at the yacht club we reguarly come into the zone (because the finish line for the race is nect to the club) doing well over (have done 16 knts into it before, in a dinghy). but coz b board makes almost no wash it is hard to judge the outcome
I believe there is a 40 knot limit around here too, thought it a bit funny with the police to be assisting in the wanderers speed meet. Congrats you've won, here is you're trophy and you're speeding ticket
