G'day to all!
I am flying over to Perth in early Jan for a year or so. I will be doing a masters degree at Murdoch university, and I intend in windsurfing as much as possible inbetween.
It would be cool if I could stay somewhere other than the student village, so if anyone needs a room-mate or knows any really cheap appartments or places to stay, please inform me.
I will also be looking for a cheap surf-van or car.
Cheers from Greece

Hi Rick,

Do yo have a place to stay yet? I have some friends looking for a flat mate. Two guys- around the same age as you- lotz of fun. Both good windsurfers and would be able to advise you on decent places to sail. Accom is cheap and near the beach. I will ask them if the room is still free and get back to you. I'll ask them about any cars/vans aswell.

Alex

Alex,
You can always send me your friends phone numbers or e-mails, even if they are not looking for a roomie. They could always happen to know a good place to stay, and I will definately appreciate some decent wave spots around.
By the way, I am arriving in Perth on the 6th of Jan.
Cheers, Rick

Hi Rick,

Sorry for not replying sooner- i'm travelling around and not checking my email much. I just phoned my mate to see if the room is still free. He is not sure as a friend is interested. I asked him if its not available to ask around his mates for a place for you. He should hopefully reply to you soon! If not in the next 2 days ... I'll kick him up the ass to get onto it. There are tons of places to stay once you get to WA, and will be much easier to find once you are there. If the flat falls through, hire a car for a few days (cheap cars- +61(0)892779404) check into a backpackers in cottelsoe for a few days, and look for a van/car to buy and a place to rent. I'll email you info on websites/sailing spots next week.

Alex

Thanks alex,
I know I can find many places, but it would be really great to live with windsurfers instead of someone from college! Also it is always usefull to get advice from locals, concerning where to stay and how much it should cost.
Merry X-Mas from Greece!!! (it is winter here and I am glad to be leaving)
