Yes very westerlie, not crowded, 2 kites, 3 - 6 windsurfers. Too much south for a good blast inside the reef. Too much west for downthe line wave riding, although I did see a couple of guys trying it. Not much swell either. I managed to completely trash my 5.3 in the first 15 min, must have been UV cancer, wasn't even a big wave, just misstimed a backhand reo, and the sail came up in tatters, only 2 panels intact
I had an awesome session, swell picked up a bit later... I wondered why i didnt see you out there mike? Was almost no one there too. You should have come down leski.
The weather was pretty ****e, but we spent most of our time drinking so we didnt mind it all that much, had some cranking fires going in our vandalised bbq out the back.

Glad you enjoyed yourself filth. I could have come out after lunch with a 4.7, the wind had picked up a tad. But after that swim in, I'd lost a bit of enthusiasm, not as young as you are!!!
My new 5.3 is well under way, so I should be ready next time.
