I used to enjoy Supercross

but the doubles were hard and the triples scary. Timing the stutters to skip across the lips without dropping the front wheel in for the inevitable endo was challenging. I'm too old for that.

I used to enjoy Desert racing, the constant repitition of the whoops at 170kph along tracks 1 car width wide

, the jumps over crossroads that saw you travel 150m in air. Now that was fun. The crashes though, went on for ever. Too old.
Enduros in the high country, now there was a challenge, faced with the endless up hill down dale. The pacing machine and body to the end, and flat out in the snow, then face down in the snow

, too cold don't do that anymore.
I really liked Flat track, 100mph sideways next to a concrete wall is a real buzz, finely tuning body position, bike angles, power on and brake points for maximum drive and minimum lap times , to gain that tenth here and there. The power of a 4 valve jawa where if you backed off on the straight the back wheel grabbed traction and over you went.

Ouch, definatly too old.
Now Road racing, a gentle mans sport, until that killer instinct takes over and you will not be outbraked by the guy next to you.

oops missed that brake marker, hell back wheel is off the ground, Didn't that turn start back there?, what's this grey stuff on the track? This is gunna hurt!

. Nah too old.

Motocross, ahh there's the one

. The start gate, the rediculus revs, watch the gate mechinism, third gear start make sure wheel spins, keep front down, get traction, use elbows to make room, guy down in front just lift front and go over him[}:)], Yea holeshot

. Quick turn, gassit, jump, land quick power on , dive under that guy, brake, use him as berm, keep standing in the brake bumps, use the ruts, go stop go stop. Arm pump, can't pull brake lever, worse arm pump, can't back off throttle, Help can't do anything, this is gunna really hurt

(hope flag marshall gets out of way). Yea finished the first lap

.
Who am I kidding, really too old.
Too old for speed, jumps, bumps, turns, and racing my buddies.
Think I'll stick to Sailboarding
