Well aren't you all a bunch of funny bast...s

Wouldn't have expected less! Yes Lenny, sea snakes, to be honest I haven't seen one. But the other day I saw something about 1.5 metres long out of the side of my eye, and just got a brief glimpse before it wagged it's tail and dived. That was a really bad session, as I couldn't stop thinking about what it was. And the more I thought about it, the more convinced I was it was a small croc. Suddenly I was falling off on all the outside gybes, but carving the ones next to the beach in 1 foot of water. I tried to tell myself to harden the f.... up, but it was no use. Next day there was a few of us blasting around, so no fear, safety in numbers. But back to the original question, you warm climate sailers have obviously had the problem, as you have the remedies, so is this a problem (the raw skin) that only affects the lucky bastards who sail warm water all the time. Or maybe it was the boom I was using, a brand new Loft, although I seriously doubt this, as it seems the same grip as my other booms.
