ferrys from hillarys and perth/freeo....$60 ouch and u can't even take a car.... take your bycyle and a cycle trailor.

Or buy your self a nice big luxory boat, with enough space to rig up on and off u go, can I come?????

never been to rotto, so can't tell u where to sail... heard it's good.

Geez.... any wind direction, but yes you really need your own boat. There are reef breaks everywhere and you could motor around and pick your spot anywhere and just go sail it.
Rotto is the go when you have a screaming easterly and a bit of swell (ie summer on the days there is no seabreeze).
IN winter it would really go off in a westerly with a southerly - SSW swell, opposite tack to what most sandgropers are used to. Buuuuttt you'd want a serious kinda boat to be out there in one of the better winter fronts!!

if ur gunna catch the ferry go eagle express or rotto exprees watever u do dont go oceanic ferry is $35 to get over and $20 to get back if u just rock up and pay cash theres the bayseeker bus that u can buy an all day tiket for its arond $5 for connseshion not to shore about adult. depends on what u want as to where u go
south side is nuts like the whole way along i think its stark bay that is the goods dont qoute me on that but. if you want speed runs go to natural jetty most eastern side of island at tommos bay. north side near paraket is my personal fav cause theres no chop but u get swell hookin arond the island so ur headin straight into it on port then with it on starboured just make sure nothin goes wrong.
yeah get ur old man to buy a boat and steel that of him for weekends thats what i do as often as i can and planin to sail over there i rekon itll only take me like 45 mins at the absalute most (10 nm) start at south beach then end up at leighton
