Looking at the isobar map this weekend and trying to explain to ms ginger pom how the forecast is a bit unpredictable, she had an idea.
Has anyone come up with a way of looking at the isobars in 3d, as though they were contour lines? You'd have a map of Australia at a slight angle (like on google earth when you look down at a 45degree angle) and then show the isobars as mountains and valleys coming across...
If you were really clever then you could build it into google earth as some sort of 3d overlay... and watch it track across.
