God that was 2004. It seems like last year. That's one of the great things about getting old - time slows down. The older you get the faster you go. Its Special Relativity for geriatrics.

Yeah, and you start to contradict yourself within two sentences.

OK, so if time slows down then wouldn't it appear slower to the person, not faster. Correct? But you said in the next sentence, that as you get older, you go faster inferring that time goes faster for old people. Or did you mean something totally different and I read it wrong?

Ummm ... sort of right but not. I meant to imply that time compressed. The years appear to pass faster which implies that the world appears to whizz past faster giving the illusion of speed which is why old guys drive slowly. They think they are going faster than they are. That's why I fall off in my gybes. I think I'm crankin a 25 knot carve when I'm only pootling around at 18.

You guys have too much time on your hands...

Having said that, I'm always amazed that older people with less time left drive so slow. Time should be of the essence to them...

You are looking at it from the wrong perspective. Old people don't drive slow. Some people drive fast, some slow. The fast people die in car accidents, for example Peter Brock. The only ones left at retirement age are those who drive slow.

Back on topic, I've never heard of these prodigies. Maybe they work for a mining company somewhere in the Brazillian jungle.

Yep, they were sent off as slave labour for a Bolivian tin mine. Cheo was last heard muttering "Curse freestyle that it lead me to this".

Support ethical trade. Don't buy any Bolivian tins.

As per NotWal's comments they don't drive slow, it is because we are younger that they appear to be driving slow as time is traveling slower for us.

Younger people appear to be driving fast, older people appear to be driving slow. E=MC2.
