this is a thread idea from another forum I use that gets a lot of love so thought i'd start it here. Kind of a gear nerd thing to ooh and ahh over the latest stuff or vintage stuff or whatever you have recently acquired.

A bunch of K4 fins, a Simmer Quantum V3 85L and a new Simmer carbon boom.
Still figuring out the Quantum and haven't yet had the opportunity to play with all the fins. Winter in Canada is hit or miss for wind.

i brought this 116 tabou manta @windsurfing perth a few months ago ..it's a new 2018 model ..but nobody wanted it so I brought it for a great price ..thanks reg .

Picked up a cheap S-Type 104 in good nick to replace my son's Xcite 95, which has it fair share of wounds. I think he'll find it a little easier with a tad more volume and tail width too. Got to keep it fun!

Finally bit the bullet and bought carbon booms to see what all the fuss is about. Now just need to YouTube how the adjustable thingy works on the big one..

Um, and also the booms didn't come in that box, couldn't resist a used board and sail that came up last weekend on a shop website. And, um, I might have ordered a new 2020 board that is a few weeks away.

if my missus sees this I'm completely screwed

Last week I picked up a old isonic 55w in the carpark off my mate $430 that arvo I gave it a crack and got a 41kt peek speed

imagine you have a trailing tri fin .
you use large fins front, a US box at the rear , you want to use a small fin at the rear, it doesn't fill the box, the little white thing fills the box, so as to avoid cavitation.

It looks like this inserted into the box, and humping the fin.Prior to these , i invented I made my own from a US fin base,the black one. The wood one is same concept, but fills the entire box, when not using that

I have one of these. Good board! I use it when I want to go fast in the rough stuff and the slalom board gets challenging.

A Severne Redback 2.3 for my 8 year old son. The next generation has to learn this amazing sport :-)
It came with a 80% XS-3 300 boom :-)


Maybe that beautiful sail could also serve for me for 60kn+
