You're very close Laurie, it's got a slightly higher status than rumour,
One of the basic constants of the universe would be closer!
But you have to use total weight, eg, board + rig + rider, and this is for freshwater, salt water floats you better, about 10% I think.
10 - 12Kg for rig 5 - 8 Kg for board, 65Kg rider + wet wetsuit??? So 80 to 90 liters for fresh water, and about 70 to 80 litres for salt.
I weigh 70Kg, my all rounder is about 85 litres, but as I've got a 78 litre high wind board, the all rounder is biased more towards light to medium winds.
