Flying to Gold Coast for a week at Easter.Full family in tow - Theme parks etc. Hope to escape & sail if windy.
Any places up there that hire out decent gear for a day or half day ?Any decent spots for a flat water blast or bump & jump ?
What is wind like up there this time of year ?
Any info would be appreciated

the wind is preety ****y here u missed it might get some westerlies or somthing but if we do get wind it will be at wellington point great place

No Hire places. Easter is prone for strong South Easterlies. (the Brisbane Gladstone Yacht Race can support this fact). For flat water blasting. The flat water boys could help out. 07 5531 3199 for Surf FX. They should be the most knowledgeble in these parts. Ian or Michael.

Thanks for the info guys. Hiring gear does not appear to be an easy option. My better half is paying for this 'family' holiday - so taking my own gear is not an option either.
There was a hire spot at Golden beach, Sunshine Coast when we I there 5 years ago. If I get desparate & I will I head up there.
Anyone know if it still exists
