i have to do a PE essay on the physical side of windsurfing. does any one know of the specific muscles used, and any pacific exercises or stretchs related to windsurfing. please help me for i am failing and i need help! thanx.

One of the UK magazines did a series of articles on this area within the last few years. The info may be on their website.

Arms -forarms, triceps, biceps
Core mainly in waves and freestyle but generally important for most things.
Quads particularly on downwinders requiring a long partial one legged squat. Quads and hammies for jumping.
Tibs if overfinned or sailing formula in bumps.
Flexability is important in freestyle and helps with mundane things like waterstarts. Yoga is good for your sailing.
More upper body weight helps with speed. Light weight helps with early planing.
