hey has anyone sailed or heard of sailing in PNG? i've been in port moresby off and on for a bit over a week, and every day it's blowin' 20+ knots, warm, clear water, and not a sail in sight. had some workmates go to lalotou(?) island (30 min boat ride)for 4 days of diving, but they couldn't because it was blowin' 25-30 all day. (source is a sailer). and over chest deep sandy bottom lagoon. and everyone says this is usual this time of the year, for months. i've gotta ship up a sea container of work stuff soon, and i'll get a cheap board and rig to put in it to leave up here. for east coasters, it could be worth looking into as a different sailing holiday. (definately "different" up here!).
