Who here uses them ? Thoughts? I hear using them is like night and day difference. But i am wondering if that is in a racing slalom type course setup. What about straight line max speed type runs?

and looking at neilpryde intergrated boom. Pricey..but looks neat . Any one using that boom ?

Adjustable outhauls are essential for GPS sailing. GPS sailors run larger than normal sail sizes to maintain power on deep down wind speed runs. Hence they need to increase outhaul, i.e. flatten the sail and gain control, when working to windward to the top of the speed run and then they release the outhaul to increase the fullness of the sail to the maximum the boom allows when sailing very deep off the wind on the speed run.

I have used AO on every sail since I started racing in 1998. Every sail, yes, every sail. Even small no-cam sails. The AO adds a huge range to the sail and lets you tune it on the water.
