Can anyone tell me how long you can record (in hours) without the memory card in the GPS?
One of our GPS units will not work properly with the card in but seems to be ok without it & then saving to card at the end of a session.

depends what version of software you've installed, the older version gives you more.
I think it was when they improved the crashing problem they used up a bit more internal memory.
And my memory is also lacking, but I have a feeling that you used to get 7hrs before it over writes the old stuff. These days it may only be 4hrs.

It should be easy enough to tell, just add the hrs up in your .sbp file

Hi Paul,

Have you tried the usual steps of reformatting the SD card in the GPS and checking the brand of the SD card is one that others have found to work? (max 2GB as well)

Thanks guys but we have tried re-formatting & heaps of different cards etc but no luck.
Contacted the manufacturer but no help there, it seems there is a problem with the unit.

My GT-11 suffered from a slow, gradual declining death. Fairly early on the card function failed on it. It was usable for a few more years using the data logging function till it finally completely died after a big crash.
